Stiga is a brand of table tennis tables and accessories (such as rackets and other items) that was established in Sweden in 1944.

The majority of stigas stock was bought by Escalade Sports of Evansville Indiana.

Escalade which was formerly named Indian Industries began in 1929.

Stiga developed a great deal of expertise in making high quality paddle products such as rubber and blades.
The Stiga table tennis blades were well known around the world for high performance while maintaining a light weight.
Stiga table tennis paddles were able to maintain a light weight as a result of a design that incorporated lightweight African veneers with a very light core wood.
Stiga table tennis tables became a very well known in the 1960s, and 70s for having a consistent bounce. Stiga table tennis tables were used in top table tennis tournaments around the world.
The status of Stiga table tennis brand was greatly enhanced by the fact that Stiga table tennis rackets were used by the top Swedish players such as Stellan Bengtsson,Kjell Johansson, and Hans Alser.

The Swedish players who often trained in Japan, learned a great deal from Japanese greats in the 1960s such as former world champion Ichiro Ogimura.

The Stiga Expert VM table tennis table became widely used in world competition.
Escalade Sports developed manufacturing for a rollaway version of this table called the Stiga Expert Roller which has been used in a number of US Championships.
